Fortune of War Hotel, The Rocks

The Fortune of War is the oldest continuously licensed public hotel in Sydney. The first hotel was built in 1828 by emancipist Samuel Terry. The existing building was erected on the same site in 1921 by Tooth & Co. Brewery.

Weir Phillips Heritage and Planning assisted Place Management NSW by overseeing the conservation works to the exterior of the building.
